'Two worlds' in Crans-Montana/ People mourn, but the celebrations

Bruno Huggler looks away from the camera as he speaks, while a photograph of snowy mountains forms the backdrop behind him.

The head of tourism for Crans-Montana says "the shock is still very deep today" in the Alpine resort town.

He told BBC Breakfast that there are "two worlds" in the area, as people mourn but the celebrations continue.

Officials are trying to find the best way to create an "atmosphere of respect" for the victims' friends and relatives, with professionals available to them, as well as allowing other guests to enjoy the activities the area offers, he adds.

Huggler explains that individuals of different nationalities visit Crans-Montana, especially during the end-of-year period.

More than 60% of visitors come from Switzerland, while people often come from France and Britain, he adds, as well as from countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
