28 seconds were needed by three perpetrators in Athens to execute Vangjelis Zabunis, a well-known figure of the underworld in Greece.
Three perpetrators, riding in a luxury Lexus, approached the BMW car of the 44-year-old, which was parked in front of a gas station, and opened fire, writes Protothema.
Vangjelis Zabunis had escaped assassinations several times in the past and traveled in an armored vehicle. But this Sunday, the 44-year-old's killers made sure their plan was not thwarted until completion as they allegedly used blind-piercing bullets for the execution.
As seen in the video, one of the killers, after emptying the first magazine from the Kalashnikov, changed the magazine and after it was empty, opened the driver's door and shot the 44-year-old man once more from close range to make sure he managed to execute eventually the target and burned their vehicle after the incident.
It is learned that the investigators found over 90 Kalashnikov bullets at the crime scene. Security officers do not rule out that there were even more shots, in order for the perpetrators to ensure that their target did not escape. They believe that large sums of money were paid for this event.
Meanwhile, in the victim's vehicle, the police found a Kalashnikov in the trunk and a Glock pistol, but the killers did not have time to use them against them.
