President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that Ukraine is working to develop an alternative way of grain export. Russia announced a few weeks ago the suspension of the agreement that facilitated the transportation of grain from Ukraine to the countries of Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
" We are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine continues to be a guarantor of food security ," Zelenskyy said in his speech on Friday evening. He said he had discussed the matter with the heads of the army, intelligence service and navy, as well as government representatives.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia will resume implementation of the agreement once its demands are met.
"When the part of the Black Sea agreement related to Russia is implemented, Russia will immediately return to the implementation of the agreement ," Peskov said.
