US First Lady Melania Trump has sued Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, for $1 billion after he claimed that Jeffrey Epstein was the one who introduced the former Slovenian-American model to the country's current president, Donald Trump.
Melania Trump's lawyer demanded that Hunter Biden "immediately retract the false, defamatory, contemptuous and provocative statements" he made about his client in an interview on his YouTube show, "Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan."
“Failure to comply with the rules will cause Mrs. Trump to pursue all available legal rights and remedies to recover the significant financial and reputational damage she has caused,” attorney Alejandro Brito wrote in an Aug. 6 letter to the former president’s son.
The lawyer also says that these false statements were made with the sole purpose of putting Hunter Biden in the spotlight.
"Given your long history of exploiting the names of others - including your own last name - for personal gain, it is clear that you published these false and defamatory statements about Mrs. Trump to draw attention to yourself," Melania Trump's lawyer said in the lawsuit.
