"It is horrifying and deeply disturbing to see images of those captured by Palestinian armed groups being mistreated, as well as reports of killings and desecration of their bodies," he said .
He called on Palestinian militant groups to "immediately and unconditionally release all civilians who have been captured and are still being held."
