Following a barrage of missile and drone attacks by Russia on Ukraine, the United Nations Security Council will meet tonight to discuss the emergency situation in Kiev.
This meeting will take place at the request of Kiev and its supporters.
The meeting was scheduled for 22:00 (GMT+0). Russian shelling killed 31 civilians and injured 160 others. Poland said a Russian missile had penetrated its airspace and then returned to Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in a post on Platform X that his country and 35 other UN members called for a meeting of the UN Security Council after the attacks that killed many people and caused heavy damage in civil infrastructure.
