The leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Germany have issued a statement following the events of this morning. Sir Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz have called for "regional stability" and condemned Iran's attacks in the Middle East.
They also emphasized that they were not part of this US-led operation.
"France, Germany and the United Kingdom have consistently called on the Iranian regime to end Iran's nuclear program, curb its ballistic missile program, refrain from its destabilizing activity in the region and in our countries, and cease its horrific violence and repression against its own people.
We did not participate in these attacks, but we are in close contact with our international partners, including the United States, Israel, and partners in the region. We reiterate our commitment to regional stability and the protection of civilian life.
"We condemn Iranian attacks on countries in the region in the strongest terms. Iran must refrain from indiscriminate military attacks. We call on the Iranian leadership to seek a negotiated solution. Ultimately, the Iranian people must be allowed to determine their own future ," the statement from the three countries said.
