In a recent effort to make voters aware of suspected foreign interference in the presidential election, the US intelligence community warned of global efforts to manipulate American public opinion and the possibility of the use of violence.

In addition to warning of Kremlin-backed interference, the US intelligence community said Iran "remains a significant threat to foreign influence in US elections."
