Angel Saramakov, the personal bodyguard of the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristjan Mickoski, has been arrested and taken to Skopje prison today, and it is expected that a criminal complaint will be filed against him for revealing official secrets.
According to information from the police, Saramakov is suspected of sharing official secrets he possessed with members of the Grçec mafia clan in exchange for money.
Saramakov has been reported several times to internal control and he personally complained about being demoted and filed a complaint with the State Commission for the Prevention of Discrimination.
Until April 2024, he worked at the Veles Police Department as a senior inspector for property crimes, and from April as an inspector for forensic inspections.
