United States President Donald Trump has returned to political attacks on his predecessor, Joe Biden, through a post on the Truth Social platform.
Trump gave a positive assessment of his administration, declaring that the US is currently “the hottest country in the world.” In the same reaction, he criticized the period when Biden was at the helm of the US administration, saying that the country was “dead” and that “the whole world was laughing at it.”
" The US is now the 'hottest' country in the world. Just a short time ago, under 'Sleepy Joe' Biden, it was dead and the whole world was laughing at it. Now that's not the case. No one is laughing anymore ," Trump wrote.
This reaction comes at a time when the American president is dealing with several important foreign and domestic policy issues, including diplomatic efforts related to the war with Iran, maintaining the long-term ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, as well as preparations for the midterm elections.
Essentially, Trump's post serves as a message with clear political weight, where he aims to strengthen his public profile and deepen the contrast with Biden, at a period of importance for his domestic and international agenda.
