What began as a US-Israeli attack on Iran's leadership, nuclear and military facilities on February 28, 2026, has turned into a regional conflict. Following the death of the Supreme Leader, Iran has launched a series of retaliatory attacks across the Middle East and beyond.
Iran's retaliatory attacks have affected more than 11 countries. Iran has used ballistic missiles, drones and cyberattacks to target US military bases, energy installations and civilian targets.

-Israeli
Iran has fired more than 170 ballistic missiles into Israel, targeting civilian and military targets. One attack in Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem, killed at least nine people and wounded dozens more. - Bahrain
Iran has attacked the headquarters of the US Navy's 5th Fleet in Manama, damaging three buildings. Bahrain reported shooting down 45 missiles and 9 drones. One person was killed and more than 30 were injured in the attacks in the capital and Muharraq.

Iranian attacks have hit the US Al Udeid air base, the largest US base in the region, as well as a gas plant. Iran has fired 97 ballistic missiles and 283 drones toward Kuwait. An attack on a US military base has killed three American soldiers and wounded five others. More than 30 people have been injured, and heavy damage has been reported at the international airport.
-Saudi Arabia
The attacks targeted Riyadh's international airport, Prince Sultan air base and the US embassy. Saudi Arabia reported successful interception of the missiles, but explosions in eastern areas damaged oil installations. A drone struck the US embassy, causing a fire.

Iran has fired missiles towards Jordan, which were intercepted by Jordanian forces. There were no reported casualties, but the attacks affected airspace and led to the closure of airports.
