The story that comes from Chile has a happy ending. María Angélica González had believed for 42 years that her son died shortly after birth. A nurse at the maternity ward told her she had to put the baby in an incubator because it was premature.

For 40 years, the boy was told he had no relatives in Chile. Then one day, he read in USA Today the story of a California man who learned he had been kidnapped as a child in Chile. From this, he began to suspect that it could also be his story. The story was told on Facebook by the protagonist Jimmy Lippert Thyden, now a criminal lawyer by profession.

She planned to take the children out of the country, away from their families, and adopt them for money. The foster parents paid for what they thought was a legal practice.
