The President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic, during an interview on the American television Newsmax, played the role of the victim as far as the tensions in the north of Kosovo are concerned, as he stated that he is very afraid of the measures recently taken by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
He added that Belgrade is waiting for a "clear signal" from the US and EU administration to convince Kurti to escalate the situation.
" I am very afraid of the escalated measures recently taken by Kurti and I am afraid that he will do it again tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, every day, he is doing it only to provoke the Serbs and I don't know what. I saw that the American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, reacted, that the EU reacted, but not enough was done to convince Kurti to stop such provocations ", said Vučič, commenting on the tensions between Belgrade and Pristina.
The head of the Serbian state claims that Kurti is doing all this just to provoke the Serbs and emphasized that he did not know what to expect.
" I saw that the American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, reacted, that the EU reacted, but it was not strong enough to convince Kurti to stop such provocations ", said Vucic.
