European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has reacted sharply after one of the largest drone and missile attacks that Russia has carried out on Ukraine, hitting government buildings and civilian homes in Kiev.
"Once again, the Kremlin mocks diplomacy, violates international law and kills indiscriminately," Von der Leyen wrote on the social platform "X".
She states that the European Union will continue to stand strongly with Ukraine.
"We are strengthening Ukraine's armed forces, building sustainable security guarantees and tightening sanctions to increase pressure on Russia. The killings must end," Von der Leyen concludes.
Recall that Russia has carried out the largest airstrike in Kiev, causing innocent casualties and serious damage. Three people, including a baby and a young woman, were killed, while 18 others were injured in drone and missile attacks that struck during the night.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that a government building in the city center was engulfed in flames after the bombing.
Last night, Russia launched one of the largest drone and missile strikes on Ukraine, targeting government buildings and civilian homes alike.
