Escaped by American bombs, Iran's Foreign Minister threatens Trump: Regime
Abbas Araghchi

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who escaped US bombings while in Geneva, says regime change is mission impossible.

"This is the second time we have negotiated with the Americans, and they decided to attack us right in the middle of the negotiations," Araqchi said.

Araqchi in a statement to the media said that Iran's actions were defensive, reiterating that "there is no victory in this war" and asserting that the attackers "have not been able to achieve their objectives."

"There is no victory in this war. And they have not been able to achieve their objectives and they cannot achieve them in the coming days. As long as they continue, they cannot achieve anything. This reminds me of the previous war, the 12-day war last June, when they expected that, within two or three days, Iran would capitulate, surrender. But it took 12 days for them to understand that Iran is not surrendering, that they have no choice but to demand an unconditional ceasefire."

Well, if their goal is to change the regime, that's mission impossible. We know that overthrowing the leader does not mean regime change or change in the political system in Iran. No, we have a very well-established political system. We have a very rich constitution. And based on that, all the state institutions are in place.

They are doing their job, their function. And as I explained before, even after the overthrow of the Supreme Leader, we have a procedure that we activated immediately. And you will see the result tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, that a new leader will be appointed by the Assembly of Experts. All these experts are elected by the people themselves," he said.
