British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps has warned that there is a possibility that Putin will use Novichok nerve gas attacks.
He blamed the Kremlin for the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in an Arctic prison.
In an interview for "The Sun" he said that Putin has Navalny's blood on his hands. Alexei should never have been in prison.
"His only crime was opposing Putin, who has a long history of 'removing' political opponents. This could happen again on British soil ," said Shapps.
Asked if there could be Novichok attacks again in Great Britain, he said that we are always tracking and trying to prevent such acts.
"If you ask me if there were attempts? You've seen this, so, yeah. His approach is that if he doesn't like someone, or doesn't vote for him, he eliminates him," Shapps emphasized.
The British secretary said that the Russian president is one of the biggest threats to world peace since Adolf Hitler.
On the other hand, Putin has denied involvement with the Novichok attacks in Great Britain.
