United States President Donald Trump declared from the White House that the military campaign against Iran is continuing "with full intensity," emphasizing that Tehran's military capabilities have been severely damaged.

According to Trump, US forces have struck more than 7,000 targets across Iran since the start of the military operation on February 28, while the Iranian air defense system has been "decimated".

" The military campaign has continued at full speed in recent days. Iranian anti-aircraft equipment has been massively destroyed and Iran has very few missiles left ," the US president declared.

Trump announced that three Iranian drone and missile production centers were hit today alone, while over 100 ships have been destroyed in the past 10 days. He added that American attacks continue "every hour from all directions."

The US president also accused Iran of trying to use the Strait of Hormuz as an economic weapon, threatening maritime traffic in one of the most important routes for global oil trade.

" Iran is trying to use the Strait of Hormuz as an economic weapon, but they won't be able to do that for much longer ," Trump said.

He called on other countries that depend on this energy corridor to help ensure the safety of maritime traffic.

" We get less than 1% of our oil from this route. Japan gets about 95%, China gets 90%, many European countries get a large portion and South Korea gets about 35% ," the US president said.

Trump added that some countries have shown willingness to join the United States in efforts to ensure security in the region, while others have been less enthusiastic.

" Some are very enthusiastic about it, and some are not. Some are countries that we've been helping for many, many years. We've been protecting them from terrible outside sources, and they weren't that enthusiastic. And the level of enthusiasm matters to me ," he continued during an event at the White House.

In his statement, the US president also downplayed the threat from Iran, describing the Islamic Republic as a "paper tiger".

" What we are facing now is a paper tiger. It wasn't like that two weeks ago ," he said.

Trump also said that US operations have reduced Iranian ballistic missile launches by 90% and drone attacks by 95%.

Referring to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, the US president said the United States was not fully certain whether Iran had laid additional naval mines in the area, but warned that such an action would be "a form of suicide" for Tehran. He added that all of the Iranian ships used to lay the mines had been destroyed.
