An Iranian source told CNN that Tehran is moving forward with monetizing control over the Strait of Hormuz, where Tehran controls who passes through and under what conditions.
"We will continue to suppress Israel and create a new legal regime in the Strait of Hormuz," the source said, apparently referring to several reports detailing payments in the range of $2 million for each tanker that passes through.
The source added that Trump must "accept Iran's terms" to end the war, saying he risks political suicide.
" It seems that Trump, faced with pressure from within America and rising global oil prices, needs to get out of the trap that Netanyahu has set as soon as possible and accept Iran's conditions. If he does not give Iran the necessary concessions, he could enter an endless path that risks losing his entire political career ," the source said.
