Pope Francis has left the Gemelli hospital in Rome today, after a surgical intervention. The Pope had started his work from the hospital and will return to the Vatican
Yesterday, the director of the Vatican Press Office Matteo Bruni reported that the Pope "had rested well during the night and that the hematochemical examinations are in the normal range".
"As a sign of thanks, he received the entire medical team, nurses, social workers, health workers and assistants who coordinated, performed and made possible the operation last June," said Bruni.
"The Pope also visited the children in the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Children's Neurosurgery who in recent days have expressed their love through numerous letters, drawings and messages for a speedy recovery," he concluded .
