The Israeli military has launched a new wave of airstrikes across Tehran as part of its ongoing military operation against the Iranian regime. According to an official statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the latest strikes targeted the regime's military infrastructure, including command centers, Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) bases, Basij militia sites, missile launch systems, and internal security facilities.
"The IDF has launched an additional wave of attacks targeting military infrastructure belonging to the Iranian regime throughout Tehran ," the Israeli military statement said.
Further details on specific locations were not yet provided. AFP journalists reported hearing a loud explosion in Tehran this evening as attacks continued into the fifth day of the general conflict between Israel, the US and Iran.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli military announced that the Air Force had completed a large-scale attack on a compound east of Tehran that housed command centers and internal security personnel. The attack was carried out by over 100 fighter jets that dropped more than 250 bombs, according to Israeli military sources.
This is the latest attack in a series of continuous airstrikes since the start of the joint Israeli-American operation.
