At least 32 people have been killed and dozens more injured in an Israeli airstrike near an aid center north of Rafah, in the Gaza Strip.
The news was announced by the Nasser Medical Complex and reported by the Al Jazeera network.
According to reports from the ground, the attack occurred in an area where displaced civilians have been seeking shelter and basic survival aid for weeks. It is not yet clear whether the aid center was a direct target of the attack or was affected as a result of shelling in the surrounding areas.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical, with the number of victims rising every day. International organizations have warned of a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions, calling for an immediate end to the violence and the guarantee of humanitarian corridors for aid.
The city of Rafah has been one of the hardest-hit areas in recent weeks, as many Gaza residents have relocated there to escape fighting in other parts of the territory.
