Qatar has clarified its position regarding tensions between the United States and Iran, stressing that it is not involved in a direct mediation role, but supports any diplomatic efforts for a solution.
In a statement to the media, Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said that his country supports dialogue in all forms.
"We support all diplomatic efforts, whether through official or unofficial channels," he said.
However, he clearly emphasized that there is currently no concrete initiative from Qatar to mediate directly between Washington and Tehran.
Speaking about the situation in the region, Al-Ansari warned of serious consequences for security in the Persian Gulf. According to him, attacks on critical infrastructure have significantly shaken the existing balances.
"The most important development is the collapse of the security system in the Persian Gulf ," he declared.
He added that countries in the region will need to review their security cooperation after the end of the conflict, emphasizing the need for a new regional approach.
