The US president claims complete military superiority and mentions an unclear development related to energy and the Strait of Hormuz.
US President Donald Trump declared that the United States has won the war, while accusing the American media of inaccurate reporting on the conflict with Iran.
"We have won this war," he told reporters at the White House.
Trump criticized media outlets such as The New York Times, NBC News, and ABC News, calling them "fake news" and claiming that they do not reflect the real situation on the ground.
He said Iran has been severely weakened militarily, claiming that the country no longer has functional naval and air capabilities and that US forces operate freely over Iranian territory.
The president added that the US has the ability to strike strategic targets in Iran without encountering resistance, citing as an example a large thermal power plant, which he said could be destroyed at any moment.
In a separate statement, Trump also said that Iran has offered the United States a "very big gift," without giving specific details. He emphasized that this relates to the oil and gas sector, as well as the Strait of Hormuz.
He also suggested that there are changes in the Iranian leadership, describing the situation as a form of "regime change."
Trump's statements have not been confirmed by independent sources and come at a time of escalating tensions in the region.
