Representatives of the 5 Star Movement in Italy have launched a protest in Rome against war, rearmament and the high cost of living. "Long live anti-fascist Italy" sing the boys and girls of the M5S Youth Network who open the procession that will unfold from Piazza Vittorio II to via dei Fori Imperiali, in Rome. At the head of the procession is the banner "No to rearmament", the slogan of today's demonstration.
" From this square comes a strong and clear message, we do not want an eight hundred billion rearmament plan, we want a path towards peace in which Europe is the protagonist. We must invest in jobs because we have the poorest wages in Europe. Not this madness, without even a shred of common European defense. I am happy that the forces of the center-left are all here. We are putting a solid and strong pillar to build a governmental alternative ," said the leader of the 5 Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte.
" This government, instead of strengthening a common project with Germany, completely failed. Only now does Giorgia Meloni understand the mistake. And the vote for rearmament is also his historic failure, he will carry it on his shoulders for the rest of his life ," Conte added.
Meanwhile, the regime has also collapsed. "Five Stars have been Putin's collaborators for ten years" and today in the square of Rome is "the shame of Italy with the blessing of Schlein's Democratic Party". This is the position of Europa Radicale, which published what it defined as a "dossier" of episodes that, according to activists, explain "an intimate political friendship with the criminal actions of Russia".
