United States President Donald Trump has again stated that the war against Iran could end soon, emphasizing that most military targets have already been hit.

"There are almost no targets left to attack," Trump said, adding that the end of the conflict depends on his decision.

According to the US president, US forces have bombed over 5,000 targets in Iranian territory. These include Revolutionary Guard command centers, air defense systems, missile launchers, facilities related to the nuclear program, as well as military ships and airports. He added that the headquarters of political and religious leaders have also been hit.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed in one of the attacks, while his son, Mukhtaba, has been named as his successor.

However, the objectives of American operations appear to have narrowed compared to the beginning of the war. While in the first phase the aim was regime change and the complete destruction of the Iranian nuclear program, the focus has now shifted towards limiting Iran's military capabilities.

Meanwhile, Israel does not seem to share the same optimism for a quick end to the conflict. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the operation will continue without a set deadline.

"This operation will continue for as long as necessary, until all objectives are met and the battle is over," Katz said.

According to the Israeli military, a new wave of attacks has begun on targets in Iran and the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

At the same time, calls for a diplomatic solution to the crisis have come from several international leaders. Following statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has also called for efforts to resolve the conflict through diplomacy.
