
The Israeli military has announced that it has killed another Hezbollah commander, who it said had also served in the ranks of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Abu Dharr Mohammadi, identified as the commander of operations in the IRGC's missile unit within Hezbollah's structure, was reportedly killed on Tuesday during a military operation.
In its official response, the Israeli military stressed that Mohammadi played an important role in developing Hezbollah's military capabilities.
"Mohammadi was a key figure in building Hezbollah's military strength in terms of missiles," the IDF statement said, according to Sky News.
Meanwhile, clashes between Israel and Hezbollah continue to escalate. According to reports, the death toll in Lebanon since the start of the latest escalation of the conflict has reached 687 people.
