Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip have killed more than 700 people yesterday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza, led by Hamas, announced.
This figure shows a large increase in deaths after the frequency of Israeli attacks in this territory.
Israel has been bombing Gaza since Hamas militants attacked southern Israeli cities on October 7.
Since the outbreak of the war, the number of people killed has reached 5,791 in Gaza, including 2,360 children, said the spokesman of this ministry, Ashraf al-Qidra. While at least 16,297 others were injured.
He said they have received 1,550 reports of missing people, including 870 children, suggesting the missing may still be trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
The World Health Organization said 12 hospitals out of a total of 35 in Gaza were not operational as of Monday. The organization also said that 46 of Gaza's 72 health care facilities, or 64 percent, are not operating, most in Gaza City and northern Gaza.
Al-Qidra announced that the health facilities were out of order due to attacks or lack of fuel.
"The Ministry of Health announces the complete collapse of hospitals in the Gaza Strip ," he said.
Al-Qidra called on the Government of Egypt to open the Rafah border crossing so that medical supplies can reach Gaza and allow the wounded to be treated in Egypt. Egypt has said that it has not closed the crossing, but Israeli and Palestinian airstrikes have forced it to close.
