The Israeli army, after the cease-fire, has started its ground operations in every part of Gaza and has also ordered evacuations in the south, announcing operations against Hamas.
In a statement, the Israeli military said the attacks would be devastating.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claim to have killed a Hamas commander in an airstrike.
Haitham Khuwajari was the commander of the Hamas Shati battalion under whose command the militants carried out the October 7 attacks, according to the IDF, Al Jazeera reports.
“He also secured Hamas terrorist activity at Shifa Hospital and was in charge of the forces fighting against IDF soldiers in the Shat area. Khuwajari was also responsible for carrying out numerous acts of terror against Israelis,” the IDF said in a statement.
The Israeli military targeted Al-Shifa, claiming that Hamas had built an important command center under the hospital. The United States supported these claims, which Hamas denied. The IDF also announced that three soldiers were killed in battle on Sunday.
