Iranian media reports that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, did not suffer an amputation or serious facial injuries after being wounded during the Israeli attack on the first day of the war.
According to the semi-official Iranian news agency ISNA, citing a source from the Iranian Health Ministry, "nothing serious has happened" to Mojtaba Khamenei.
The source said the wounds "were not such as to disfigure the supreme leader's face, nor did they incapacitate him or lead to the amputation of any limbs."
"Several stitches have been placed on his wounds. One of the areas where doctors decided to intervene immediately was the leg," the source told ISNA.
The reports come after widespread speculation about the condition of Mojtaba Khamenei following the Israeli strike that killed his father, Ali Khamenei. Iranian authorities have not yet provided full details about the circumstances of the attack or the health of other senior regime figures.
