Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in a coma and receiving treatment in the city of Qom, according to a report in The Times newspaper. The report refers to a memorandum from the intelligence services of the United States and Israel, which was distributed to Arab allies.
According to the publication, the document states that Khamenei is currently unable to govern and is being treated at the religious center south of Tehran.
The newspaper adds that this information has been circulating among regional partners and may constitute the first indication of Khamenei's whereabouts since the start of the war.
Khamenei has not appeared publicly since the outbreak of conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel more than five weeks ago.
