United States President Donald Trump has rejected criticism that arose after a post he made on social media on Easter Sunday, in which he used offensive language towards Iranians and threatened to strike Iran's power plants and infrastructure.
According to Riane Lumer's article, Trump reacted during a press conference at the White House when a reporter asked him about the reactions to the post and the calls for him to undergo a mental health evaluation.
"I don't care about the critics," Trump said, interrupting the reporter's question.
Asked further about the requests circulating for a mental examination, the president said he had not heard of them. He then added that the country needs “more people” like him.
"If that's the case, you're going to have to have more people like me, because our country has been cheated for many years on trade and in other areas, until I got here ," Trump told reporters.
