Trump's ultimatum to Russia to reach an agreement with Ukraine within 10-12 days prompted a heated reaction from the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, who said that such threats are nothing more than a step towards war between Russia and the US.

Meanwhile, today, Trump announced that he has ordered the dispatch of two US nuclear submarines to "appropriate areas" near Russia, in response to statements he described as extremely provocative by Medvedev.
In a post on the social network "TruthSocial", Trump said that although Medvedev's threats may seem like empty words, history has shown that they bring undesirable consequences, meaning that anything can happen.
"Based on the extremely provocative statements of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is now Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than enough. Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those cases. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump wrote.
The US president repeatedly said that this war was not started by him, but by Biden, and that he was simply trying to stop it. In his statement on “Social Truth”, Trump published a balance sheet showing that Russia has lost over 20 thousand soldiers this month and 112 thousand since the start of the conflict and emphasized that his goal was to stop these very deaths.
