EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos will pay an official visit to Albania from March 12 to 14, marking her first visit to the country.
This trip will provide an opportunity for discussions with the Albanian authorities on the European Union accession process, with a particular focus on progress on key reforms, including in the justice sector. The visit will also serve to highlight the importance of consolidating the achievements to date and ensuring tangible results in the implementation of the necessary reforms.
During her stay, Commissioner Kos will meet with Prime Minister Edi Rama, Chief Negotiator Majlinda Dhuka, Speaker of Parliament Elisa Spiropali and representatives of the opposition. She will also hold meetings with heads of independent justice institutions and representatives of civil society organisations.
