German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Ukraine's allies must ensure that Russia does not continue the war and that there is no further escalation of the conflict.
In a recent statement, Merz said that the war will only stop when Russia is no longer able to continue it for economic and military reasons.
"We are talking about a failed diplomatic effort, where every attempt to find a peaceful solution has been accompanied by a more aggressive approach from the regime in Moscow," Merz said.
He added that Russia will stop the aggression only when it is no longer able to continue the war, due to the economic and military consequences.
According to Merz, this war will not stop until a consensus is reached among Western allies to ensure the end of Russia's capacity to conduct combat operations, an issue that has taken on increasing importance for global security.
