US President Donald Trump, after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, held a joint press conference.

In his speech, Benjamin Netanyahu thanked President Trump for his support for Israel and emphasized that today's meeting was very significant.

"He has achieved extraordinary things in the Middle East because we worked together. We talk about our ideas. Sometimes we have different ideas, but we work them out and most of the time we agree. But it has been an extraordinary experience and this was a very, very productive meeting ," he said.

While speaking to the media, Netanyahu did not forget to give Trump the 'flattery' for which he is immensely fond. Netanyahu told Trump during today's meeting that he would receive the Israel Peace Prize, which is the state's highest civilian honor.

"In our almost 80 years, we have never given it to a non-Israeli. And this year we will give it to President Trump. Trump is receiving the award for his extraordinary contributions to Israel and the Jewish people," Netanyahu said.

Trump, on the other hand, said the news of the award came as a surprise to him and that he felt very appreciated. Moving on, Trump said he hoped Iran would not try to rebuild its missile program, as reports this week have suggested, as that would be the end of them. The US president threatened Iran, saying he did not want to spend any more fuel to send US bombers to the Middle East, having already done so in June.

" If that's the case, we'll have no choice but to eliminate that stockpile very quickly. I hope Iran doesn't try to create the idea, as I've read, that they're building weapons and other things, and if they are, they're not using the sites that we eliminated, but they're probably using other sites ," Trump said.

Trump further said that he and Netanyahu also discussed disarming Hamas, which he said would be given time to do so.

"Hamas will be given a very short period of time to disarm. They will see hell if they don't disarm. That will be very, very bad for them. And I don't want that to happen. But they made a deal that they would disarm ," Trump said.
