Angelo Onorato, the husband of Christian Democrat MEP Francesca Donato, was found dead today in Palermo.

He was found dead inside his Rover by police officers. From the first investigations, traces of blood were found on Onorato's shirt, as he was found with a belt tied around his neck.

For investigators and magistrates, all hypotheses are open, including that of suicide. His wife, Francesca Donato, the MEP wife, had not heard from him since 11:00 and she heard the news of Angelo's murder from the media.
