Addressing accusations that Israel is "deliberately targeting civilians" in Gaza, Netanyahu stated that such a thing is not true...

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a fiery speech today at the 80th United Nations (UN) General Assembly, where he denounced the "terrorist axis" led by Iran and promised to continue the fight until the last hostages are released.

The speech, filled with maps, banners, and messages addressed to the hostages, was met with polarized reactions: whistles, mass walkouts in protest, but also applause and cheers from supporters.

The speech began with tensions running high. As Netanyahu took the stage, dozens of people left the room in protest, creating a stark contrast to the applause from the rest.

The Speaker of the Assembly was forced to constantly repeat "please, restore order in the corridor" and hit the gavel to restore calm.

Netanyahu opened the speech by bringing back a map titled "The Curse," which he had presented last year to the same Assembly.

"This axis threatened the peace of the entire world, the stability of our region and the very existence of my country, Israel ," he said, describing the map as an illustration of "the curse of Iran's terrorist axis."

He stressed that over the past year, Israel had "hammered" the Houthis, destroyed much of Hamas's terrorist machine, and crippled Hezbollah.

"Most importantly, we destroyed Iran's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile program ," Netanyahu added.

Touching the dots on the map, Netanyahu mentioned the assassinated leaders as: Yahya Sinwar of Hamas, Hassan Nasrallah of Hezbollah, and Iran's top atomic scientists.

"Everyone has disappeared ," he declared.

He then made a reference to the October 7 massacre, while sending a message about the hostages still being held by Hamas. Netanyahu said that Israel had brought home 207 hostages, but 20 of the 48 remaining in Gaza were still alive. He read the names of the 20 people from a list before speaking directly to them through loudspeakers that the Israeli military has set up on the Gaza border.

"We have not forgotten you. Israel will not rest until we bring you all home ," he said.

Addressing the "remaining" Hamas leaders, Netanyahu urged them to surrender and release the hostages.

"Put down your weapons. Let the people go and release the hostages. If you do this, you will live, if not, Israel will come after you ," he threatened.

He praised President Trump as someone who " understands better than any other leader that Israel and America face a common threat ." However, Netanyahu lamented that after the October 7 attack, many world leaders initially supported Israel, but that support has since "evaporated."

Addressing accusations that Israel is "deliberately targeting civilians" in Gaza, Netanyahu stated that such is not true.

"The opposite is true. Israel has dropped millions of leaflets and sent millions of text messages to persuade civilians to evacuate dangerous areas. Meanwhile, Hamas enters mosques, schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, to force civilians to stay in danger, often threatening them with weapons ," he said.

Regarding the accusations of genocide leveled against Israel, he made a comparison with the Holocaust.

" Did the Nazis ask the Jews to leave? " he asked, as he rejected claims that Israel is using hunger as a weapon in Gaza and blamed Hamas.

" If there are Gazans who don't have enough food, it's because Hamas steals it, hoards it and sells it ," Netanyahu added, during his speech at the UN.

Netanyahu further reacted sharply to the decision of countries such as France and the United Kingdom to recognize a Palestinian state, calling it "national suicide" for Israel.

"It's pure madness, it's madness and we won't do it ," he said.

The speech ended with applause from the Israeli delegation. Netanyahu left the stage to the applause of a large group of observers on the balcony above the General Assembly hall.
