The protest considered historic in Belgrade, which lasted for about 5 hours, blocking all streets and squares in the Serbian capital, officially ends.
The atmosphere was tense and during the 15-minute silence, a loud explosion was heard near Pioneer Park, as student guards removed their vests and announced that this protest was no longer theirs.
Citizens massively supported the protest called by the students, creating a total blockade in Belgrade, from all directions and all parts of the city.
The Ministry of Interior, in the last hour of the protest, warned that it would intervene to disperse the protesters, but the gendarmerie vehicles managed to be blocked by citizens near the Faculty of Law.
A special gesture was the one that occurred at the student protest in Belgrade. While we previously reported that some police units had refused to serve at the protest, the gendarmerie entered the area where the citizens were standing and greeted them.
Meanwhile, according to Serbian media, citizens were shouting "Bravo guys!".
