Flights have resumed at Dubai's main international airport, following a temporary suspension due to a drone alert near the airport area.
Airport authorities temporarily halted air traffic earlier in the day, while passengers were asked to take shelter for safety reasons after drones were spotted near the airport.
After the situation stabilized, air operations gradually resumed. Among the first flights to depart from the airport were those to Jeddah and Vienna.
Meanwhile, according to data from flight tracking sites, planes arriving from Cyprus and Singapore have also appeared on the arrivals board.
A Dubai Airport spokesman announced that some flights will be operated not only from Dubai International Airport, but also from the city's second airport, Al Maktoum International, to ease air traffic.
