After the departure of Brnabic, Vucic mandates the Minister of Defense as Prime

The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and the Minister of Defense, Miloš Vučević, has been mandated to create the new Government of Serbia.

The news was announced by President Milosh Vučević, through a post on Facebook.

In this position, Vučević will succeed Ana Brnabić, who has moved to the post of Speaker of the Assembly of Serbia. Until now, Vučević has held the post of Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and is considered one of Vučić's most loyal men.

He is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party since its foundation and in 2011 he became the chairman of the Novi Sad committee and a year later he was elected the mayor of the municipality of Novi Sad.

Milosh Vucevic was born in 1974 in Novi Sad. In the official biography it is said that he graduated from the "Vasa Stajič" primary school in his hometown and the "Jan Kolar" high school in Backi Petrovac. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad in 1999.

Until 2012, he practiced the profession of lawyer in the family law office. He has been a member of the Serbian Progressive Party since 2008. Vučević was elected president of the city board of SNS in 2011. He became vice president of SNS in 2016 and was subsequently elected to that position in November 2021.

He was elected mayor of the municipality of Novi Sad in September 2012, after which he stopped working as a lawyer. He was then elected mayor for the second time in July 2016, and for the third time in September.
