Did the US Air Force shoot down a UFO?...
At least that's how experts interpret this shocking new video, released today by the US Department of Defense.
According to TMZ, based on the video's title and description, it appears the incident occurred in February 2023 over Lake Huron.
The video appears to show the unidentified aerial phenomenon or UAP zooming into the field of view of an F-16C aircraft and, seconds later, disintegrating.
According to the All-Area Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), this Pentagon video "most likely came from an infrared sensor located on a US military platform."
This is part of a new batch of UFO files released today by the US Department of Defense. The release also includes a number of other documents, photographs and videos related to suspected UFO activity.
However, the Pentagon emphasizes that the video description serves "informational purposes only," adding:
“Readers should not interpret any part of this description as an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual finding regarding the validity, nature, or significance of the event described.”
The 222 files published on Friday belong to the second package of declassified documents on the official website of the US Department of Defense, just a few weeks after US President Donald Trump ordered the release of government reports on unidentified flying objects.

One of the recently released files contains 116 pages of documentation related to a series of reports and investigations at a top-secret facility in Sandia, New Mexico, during the period 1948–1950.
"This file contains 209 reports of 'green spheres', 'discs' and 'fireballs' reported near the military base," the Department of Defense said.
