A health incident has caused concern today in the premises of the Greek Parliament, after Deputy Minister of Health, Eirini Agapidaki, felt unwell during the session.
According to reports by Protothema.gr, Agapidaki has shown shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, while doctors have also found low levels of oxygen in his blood.
Immediately after the incident, she was taken to the Parliament infirmary, where she received first aid. A few minutes later, an ambulance from the Greek emergency service EKAB arrived at the scene and transported her to Evangelismos Hospital in Athens for further checks and monitoring.
According to preliminary information, the transportation to the hospital was done mainly for preventive reasons and her health condition is not considered worrying.
So far, there has been no more detailed official statement from the Greek Ministry of Health or the government cabinet itself, while it is expected that more information will be available on the deputy minister's condition in the coming hours.
