The videoconference between the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and US President Donald Trump has ended.
The videoconference lasted until just before 4:00 PM, twice as long as expected.
Trump has urged European leaders to "stop buying Russian oil" and put economic pressure on China "because it is financing Russia's war."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky briefly wrote on social media that they are "concretizing security guarantees" for his country.
"We are making long-term security guarantees for Ukraine a reality and are already providing support to our Ukrainian Defense Forces," Zelensky wrote on X.
Moscow, before the start of this meeting, through a statement by Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, opposed the idea of the presence of foreign soldiers on Ukrainian territory.
" The security guarantees demanded by Ukraine pose a threat to the European continent and are absolutely unacceptable. The ideas of the Kiev leader, which are essentially a copy of the initiatives of European sponsors - not even sponsors, but the European party of war, as we have said more than once - are absolutely unacceptable. They are aimed at preserving Ukraine as a launch pad for terror, for provocations against our country, " she stressed.
France and Britain are the two countries that have expressed their consent to sending their soldiers to Ukrainian territory but away from the front line.
