Three people were killed and two others injured after a boat carrying French tourists capsized near Port Sultan Qaboos in Oman.
The Royal Oman Police confirmed the incident, adding that it occurred in the Wilayat of Muttrah.
In a social media post on X, she announced that the ship was carrying 25 tourists of French nationality, including the tour guide and the ship's captain.
"The incident resulted in the deaths of three tourists and minor injuries to two others, who were treated on site by ambulance teams from the Civil Protection and Ambulance Authority ," he said.
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
