On the first Saturday of September at seven o'clock in the afternoon, the new protest "Serbia against violence" started, dedicated to the state of education and the rule of law in Serbia.
The "Serbia against violence" protest will start in front of the Serbian Parliament, where several hundred citizens have gathered, reports Danas.
Serbian citizens have gathered for the 18th time in the protests that began after the mass murders in the elementary school "Vladislav Ribnikar" and the villages around Mladenovci and Smederevo.
One of the initial demands of the protest was the resignation of the president of Serbia, Aleksander Vučić.
We remind you that in June other protests were held with the motto "Serbia against violence". During the rally in the Serbian capital, it was warned that the protests will become radicalized if the protesters' demands are not met.
After the organizers gave speeches, the protesters started marching along a highway, which was closed to traffic until 21:00.
Protests were also held in Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac.
The protests started after two mass murders that shocked Serbia in early May. The protesters are demanding the dismissal of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Security and Information Agency, as well as the members of the Electronic Media Regulator and the leadership of the Public Service of Serbia.
