Tensions in the Middle East are escalating, with Tehran and Tel Aviv exchanging accusations and direct threats. Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has openly accused the United States and Israel of orchestrating the recent protests in Iran, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that any attack on Israel will have "unbearable consequences."
In a post on the social network X, Khamenei declared that the protests, which erupted on December 28, were part of a conspiracy organized from abroad. “ The latest conspiracy was orchestrated by the Zionists and the United States. I have been informed through a specific channel that the CIA and Mossad have committed all their resources on the ground. However, they were defeated ,” he wrote, adding that “the sedition plan was designed and managed outside Iran.”
Khamenei also stressed that this is not the first time that Iran has faced what he called "foreign conspiracies," warning that such efforts will continue in the future.
Meanwhile, in a speech to the Knesset, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is prepared for any scenario, at a time when speculation is growing about a possible American attack on Iran. “ Anyone who attacks us will face unbearable consequences ,” Netanyahu said, according to the Times of Israel.
The strong statements come in a climate of high tensions, where Iran has warned that it will strike Israeli and American targets in the event of aggression, while the US is increasing military and diplomatic pressure in the region.
