After the riots in France, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne visited the area of L'Haÿ-les-Roses, where protesters attacked the house of the mayor Vincent Jeanbrun. His wife was injured by this attack, as she tried to leave together with the two children.
Prime Minister Borne said that the attack is shocking, while calling for the authorities to punish the perpetrators with the greatest severity.
"We will not let any violence go unpunished," she said, calling for those responsible to be sanctioned with the "greatest severity."
We remind you that during the night, protesters attacked the house of the mayor of the suburb of Paris, L'Haÿ-les-Roses. The attack happened at 01:30, when Vincent Jeanbrun was in his office. His wife and two children were asleep when unknown assailants crashed through the gate and set the car on fire.
When the mayor's family members tried to leave, they were hit by fireworks, as a result of which the wife and one of the children were injured.
It was "an attempted assassination of an indescribable coward," said Mayor Jeanbrun. The police have launched an investigation.
