New footage released from Dimona shows the dramatic moments after the rocket strike, with buildings destroyed, vehicles burned and rescue teams searching for survivors under the rubble.
According to Israeli authorities, a three-story building collapsed after the impact, while several areas of the city suffered significant damage. Dozens of fire and rescue teams were deployed to the scene, operating through the night to extract trapped people and secure the area.

The preliminary toll speaks of at least 39 people injured, while the attack on Dimona marks the fifth strike within 24 hours in this strategic city in southern Israel.
Dimona is particularly important because it is located near the Negev Nuclear Research Center, one of the most heavily guarded facilities in the country. The attack has raised concerns about the security of this critical infrastructure.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it was aware of reports of the strike in Dimona, but stressed that there were no indications of damage to the Negev nuclear facility.

In a statement, the agency said that data from countries in the region did not indicate abnormal levels of radiation. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stressed that the situation was being closely monitored and called for “maximum military restraint,” especially in the vicinity of nuclear facilities.

The latest attacks come at a time of rapid escalation in the conflict, as Iranian long-range missiles with multiple warheads are challenging Israeli air defense systems, increasing the risk of strikes on sensitive areas.
