Donald Trump has called on pharmaceutical companies to justify the success of their COVID-19 drugs, stating that there is no consensus on whether the drugs have saved lives.

"With the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) torn apart by this issue and disagreements with Health Secretary Bobby Kennedy Jr., I want answers, and I want them now," Trump wrote on his social media account, Truth.

"I've received information from Pfizer and others, which is extraordinary, but they never seem to show these results to the public," he added.
