NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has issued a stark warning. He declared that Europe is in danger, adding that Moscow could strike major cities at any moment.
Rutte stressed that the Kremlin's targets could be Rome, London or even Amsterdam.
Rutte's warning was given to Italian television "Tg1", highlighting the growing threat that Russia poses to the security of European countries.
"We are all in danger! Russia's most advanced missiles can hit Rome, Amsterdam or London at five times the speed of sound," Rutte declared.
The NATO leader highlighted the increasingly advanced technological capabilities of the Russian military.
He added that this situation is no longer just an issue for NATO's eastern flank countries, but a threat to the entire alliance:
"It means we're all on the east side," he said.
